BROOKE JOHNSON
DIRECTOR OF ASSET MANAGEMENT

Brooke Johnson is a 25-year veteran of the commercial real estate arena, with deep and diverse experience in the fields of asset management, real estate finance and commercial construction management. He currently oversees all commercial real estate asset management engagements for SVN Elevate, a commercial asset management and advisory enterprise with property management, leasing and investment sales partners, and institutional and private clients across the U.S.

Prior to joining SVN Elevate in 2019, Mr. Johnson was a Vice President and Team Leader in the commercial Special Assets Group at U.S. Bank, where he was a recognized leader in the areas of acquisition due diligence; strategic asset management emphasizing value-add investment strategies, including the evaluation and resolution of complex legal, regulatory and entitlement challenges; and partnering with the bank’s commercial loan workout team to illuminate both risk and opportunity within the bank’s foreclosure pipeline. While at U.S. Bank, he produced more than $150m in revenue and booked in excess of $40m in profit on the individually negotiated sales of over 50 properties to private, publicly traded and institutional buyers.

Before joining U.S. Bank in 2009, Mr. Johnson was an Assistant Vice President of commercial real estate lending for California National Bank. In that capacity he underwrote and delivered $275m in financing opportunities across all major real estate asset classes. Prior to that, starting in 2003 he was the bank’s senior underwriter in Los Angeles where he analyzed and advised on the financial, market and sponsor characteristics of over $1bn in construction, bridge and permanent financing opportunities for the
bank’s lead producer.

Mr. Johnson began his career in 1995 with Southern California construction management firm Snyder Langston where, over the course of six years, he acquired deep, hands-on experience with the planning, problem-solving and relationship-building necessary to transform vacant parcels into income-generating office buildings, retail centers and industrial parks.

He is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara where he earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a specialization in Land Use and Planning. He earned an M.B.A. from Arizona State University and Master of International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Mr. Johnson is a Southern California native. He lives in San Diego with his wife and two boys, and quickly recognized fatherhood to be his most valuable education of all.
